Self
I’m a science communicator and filmmaker based in Bozeman, Montana — pursuing a M.F.A. in Science & Natural History Filmmaking at Montana State University.
I hold a B.A. in Astronomy & Philosophy (summa cum laude) from the University of Colorado Boulder, and I have extensive science communication experience from my years of work as a Presenter & Outreach Specialist at Fiske Planetarium in Boulder, Colorado.
I believe science communicators must creatively distill the intense discipline of science and see compelling stories within the data. This requires someone who wants to investigate the science’s big picture, traverse disciplines, and tell stories – all at once. It is the art of simultaneously informing, inspiring, and fostering the curiosity of the audience. I love this work, and this is my art.
