Film Portfolio

Film is the most powerful medium of communicating science. Filmmaking allows me to synthesize my backgrounds in science writing, planetarium work, and photography — injecting temporal breadth into the process. Both film and science are processes bound in time, with stories extending from the past into the future, so I strive to make them complimentary.

The Lelev Project is my attempt to always remain a student. Through this series of short, pedagogical films, I aim to bring the planetarium style of science communication to two dimensional screens. The pathos of this project is ongoing and converging towards some interesting themes: the aesthetics, history, development, and ultimately, the immeasurable value of science.
